About Loli Mari Montalvo

Loli Mari is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, designer, and creative strategist with more than two decades of experience bridging the worlds of fine art, digital media, education, and visual storytelling.

Originally from Puerto Rico and now based in New York City, Loli holds a Master of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute and has built an international career spanning New York, Barcelona, Paris, and San Juan. Her work has included roles in higher education, graphic design, marketing, legal graphics, creative direction, and digital content development, allowing her to bring both artistic vision and practical execution to every project.

As an educator, Loli has spent more than fifteen years teaching art, design, digital media, and creative technologies at the college level, helping students develop the skills needed to thrive in an ever-evolving creative landscape. As a designer and creative professional, she has led projects ranging from branding and publications to multimedia campaigns, web content, and visual communications.

Her artistic practice explores themes of identity, memory, culture, transformation, and the human experience, often drawing inspiration from her Caribbean roots and global perspective. Whether creating a painting, developing a marketing strategy, designing a learning experience, or directing a creative campaign, her goal remains the same: to create meaningful connections through thoughtful design and compelling visual narratives.

Today, Loli continues to combine art, technology, education, and community engagement to create work that informs, inspires, and empowers others.
